A BEAUTIFUL STORY THAT HAS LASTED FOR 20 YEARS

Created in 2003, the Caricature, Press and Humour Cartoon Festival of Saint Jean de Sixt is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

Originally, 3 friends, including a professional cartoonist (Jacques Thomas), created the first edition, which brought together 2 cartoonists in the premises of the Tourist Office of Saint Jean de Sixt.

As the years went by, the panel of artists grew to reach today about twenty participants of different nationalities : Belgians, Spanish, Italians, English and French, who gathered more than 500 visitors during the weekend.

The biggest names in the profession come together for a weekend to the great pleasure of a faithful public willing to have their portrait taken with humour.
- 2019 : Guest of honour Steve Bell : chief cartoonist of the daily newspaper "The Guardian".
- 2022 : Leonardo Rodriguez and Ernesto Priego for Spain, Jacques Sondron and Philippe Decressac for Belgium, Claudio Puglia for Italy have sharpened their pencils and honed their irreverent humour to delight an ever-growing audience.

This festival has even been given a name : l'Osmose de la Caricature.
Proud of its local presence in the heart of the Aravis massif, many editions have promoted our territory by choosing themes such as : The ski instructors, the reblochon fermier, Our Belgian friends...
